Learn the timing
Open Tutorial from the home screen to practise attacking, defending, and changing tempos. Strike as the needle crosses an attack window. Defend against each incoming contact; a well-timed parry prevents damage. You can attack and defend at the same time.
Adjust the experience
Settings contains separate music and effects volume, reduced motion, and opposite-side or adjacent-right controls. Pause during a fight to take a break or inspect your current build.
Unlock and restore dungeons
Tutorial Tower, Crescendo Crypt, and Staccato Swamp are included free. The planned $1.99 USD Unlock All Dungeons purchase covers Cleffed Cliffs, Fortissimo Forge, and future dungeons. Progression still applies: meet the best completed-run score requirement in the preceding dungeon to enter the next.
For a previous purchase, use Restore Purchases on the dungeon unlock screen while signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple handles billing and refunds; contact us if a successful restore does not unlock your access.
Add your music
Open Add Your Music on Home. Use Import from Files, or Add From Google to sign in and choose one audio file from Google Drive. Songs are downloaded for playback on your device. You can edit each song’s BPM and dungeon assignment. Deleting an imported song keeps your original Drive file. Logging out of Google keeps existing imports. See Battlebeat’s privacy policy for account, storage, and deletion details.
Progress and high scores
Unlocks and personal high scores are stored on your device. An active run currently does not resume after the app closes. Avoid deleting the app as a troubleshooting step if you want to keep local progress.
Global scores need a network connection. A temporary service problem does not stop combat or your local score history. Developer reference entries use the initials CS or AH.
Delete your online account
Open Settings → Privacy & help → Online scores → Delete online account, then confirm. Wait for the app to show Online account deleted. If there is an error, choose Retry deletion. Contact support if it keeps failing. This deletes the leaderboard account and its online score. After deletion succeeds, online scores remain off until you choose Turn online scores on. This can create a new account and resubmit your best local score. Your local progress, personal score history, and Apple purchase are kept.
Privacy and data requests
Optional gameplay analytics can be changed separately in Settings. Deleting your leaderboard account does not delete analytics already received by PostHog. Provider request and security logs may remain according to their retention settings. See Battlebeat’s privacy notice for details. For help locating a leaderboard record, open Settings → Privacy & help → Online scores → Copy support ID when available, then include that ID in your email. It is not your sign-in credential. Email us for other data requests too. Do not send passwords or purchase receipts containing payment information.
