Your game data
Nonagon LLC makes Battlebeat. Your progress, settings, and personal score history stay on your device. Playing does not require your name, email, contacts, photos, or location. Google sign-in is optional and is used only when you choose to import music from Google Drive.
Music from Google Drive
In Add Your Music, Add From Google lets you sign in to Google and choose one audio file at a time in Google’s file picker. We request the drive.file permission, which limits access to files you explicitly share with Battlebeat. That permission allows management of selected files; Battlebeat only reads file information and downloads the audio. It does not browse your entire Drive, edit your originals, or delete files from Google Drive.
Battlebeat reads your Google account email and Drive account identifier to show the connected account and associate imports with it. It reads each selected file’s identifier, name, type, size, and download information to import the song. Audio and embedded metadata are used on your device for the song title, playback, duration, and a beats-per-minute (BPM) estimate. You can edit the BPM and dungeon assignment.
Google credentials and the connected account information are stored in your device’s Keychain. Downloaded songs and library information stay in the app’s private local storage; downloaded audio is excluded from iCloud backups. Imports and credential refreshes communicate directly with Google over HTTPS. Nonagon does not receive your Google credentials, account email, Drive file identifiers, song titles, or audio through this feature.
If online scores are enabled, song BPM values may be sent with run proofs to verify scores. If you enable analytics, events can include the game’s tempo and that personal music was used. These events do not include Google account information, Drive file identifiers, song titles, or audio.
Remove music or disconnect Google
Use Remove download for a song or Remove all downloads in Add Your Music to remove downloaded audio and the corresponding library entries. Your original Drive files are kept. Logging out of Google in the music library removes the locally stored Google connection and credentials but keeps imported songs. You can also revoke Battlebeat’s permission in your Google Account’s third-party connections. Reconnecting is required for future Google imports after you disconnect or revoke access.
Battlebeat’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used to provide the music and related gameplay features described here, and is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models.
Optional analytics
Analytics is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, we use PostHog to understand gameplay and improve the game. Events include gameplay, scores, music choices, and basic technical information, using a random installation ID. We do not collect screen recordings or use this information for advertising. Turning analytics off stops future collection.
Online scores
When online scores are enabled, we store scores and game details under a random ID. No login is needed, and the leaderboard does not show your real name or contact information. Google Firebase services help run and protect the leaderboard. Service logs may include IP addresses and technical information needed for security and troubleshooting.
You can turn online scores off or delete your online account and score in Settings → Privacy & help → Online scores. This keeps your local progress and purchases. Turning online scores back on can create a new ID and upload your best local score.
Purchases
Apple handles the one-time Unlock All Dungeons purchase and restores. Battlebeat receives purchase status so it can provide access. We do not receive your payment-card details.
Your choices and questions
We do not sell your information or track you across other apps for advertising. Online information is kept only as long as needed for scores, improving the game, security, or legal requirements. Turning a feature off or uninstalling does not automatically erase information already received by our service providers.
