Privacy policy.

One privacy policy for every Nonagon app: minimal analytics, private Apple storage, and no advertising profiles.

Who this policy covers

Nonagon LLC (“Nonagon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes Recipes, Screenbump, Screenworthy, and Track. This policy applies to all Nonagon apps, getnonagon.com, and related support. It also applies to future Nonagon apps unless we clearly provide a separate notice for a service that handles information differently.

The short version

  • Our apps use anonymous or pseudonymous IDs for product analytics. We use those IDs only for analytics.
  • Your recipes, goals, notes, Screen Time information, selected apps, and other content stay on your device or in Apple’s cloud services when you choose to use them.
  • We do not store explicit user data or user-created content on Nonagon servers.

Anonymous analytics

We use third-party analytics vendors to understand broad product usage, such as whether a feature is opened, whether onboarding is completed, and whether an operation succeeds. Analytics events use a random, anonymous or pseudonymous installation ID. We do not use that ID to identify you, contact you, build an advertising profile, or link your activity across unrelated apps.

Analytics are used only to measure and improve our apps. They do not include user-created content such as recipe text, source URLs, journal entries, shopping items, goal names, notes, exact goal values, Screen Time totals, selected app names or tokens, photos, or other explicit personal information. We do not sell analytics data or use it for advertising.

Your data and Apple cloud storage

Nonagon apps are local-first. The information you create is stored on your device. When an app offers cloud sync or backup and you turn it on, it uses Apple’s iCloud or CloudKit services associated with your Apple Account. Apple processes that information under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

We do not operate a user-content database for these apps and do not store your recipes, goals, notes, Screen Time totals, selected app identities, personal value settings, or photos on Nonagon servers. Disabling an app’s cloud feature stops future sync but does not automatically delete the copy on your device or data already kept by Apple.

Apple services and purchases

Some apps use Apple services such as Screen Time, Family Controls, notifications, iCloud, CloudKit, or StoreKit. Apple controls access to these services and may process related information. App selections used by Screen Time features remain represented by Apple-provided private tokens; Nonagon does not receive the names of the apps you select.

Apple handles App Store payments. We may receive product, transaction, purchase, or entitlement status needed to unlock a feature or deliver a purchase, but we do not receive your complete payment-card information.

Your choices

You can decline optional permissions, turn off iCloud features, or remove an app and its local data using iOS or Android controls. Some features will not work without the permission they require. You can manage purchases and subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.

Security and retention

We limit analytics to the information needed to understand product performance and keep it only as long as reasonably useful for that purpose. Our analytics provider may process data in the United States and other countries. No system is completely secure, but minimizing collection and keeping user content on-device or with Apple reduces what Nonagon can access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
